Day 1: Angkor SuNrise Discovery
Begin your tour with a pickup from your hotel around 4:45 am in our air-conditioned vehicle (please ensure you provide your hotel information at the time of booking). Start this unforgettable three-day tour by watching the sunrise at Angkor Wat and soaking up the early morning atmosphere. Spend the rest of the day exploring temples with a local guide. You will head to the south gate of Angkor Thom, followed by Angkor Thom, which comprises the renowned Bayon Temples. Continue to visit Ta Prohm Temple, known as the “jungle temple” or “tree temple,” due to the lush trees surrounding the temple’s stones. The gigantic roots embracing the ruins have made it one of Angkor’s most popular temples. During the visit, your tour guide will explain the historical facts of the Angkor Temples and the Khmer empire and help you notice all the main Angkor architectural elements. After lunch, you will spend the afternoon discovering Banteay Kdei temple, built by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th century. At the end of the day, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Explore Angkor Big Circuit
The next day, around 9:00 am, after enjoying breakfast at your hotel, our tour guide will lead you to Banteay Srey temple, located about an hour's drive from Siem Reap. Considered the jewel in the crown of Angkorian art, Banteay Srey is carved from pinkish stone and features some of the finest carvings in Cambodia. After lunch, you'll return to the main Angkor Wat complex to visit the East Mebon temple, a large, temple-mountain rising three levels and crowned by five brick towers, as well as Neak Pean and Ta Som temples. The tour will conclude with a visit to Preah Khan (sacred sword), a vast, highly exploratory monastic complex. At the end of the day, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Kulen Mountain & Kampong Khleang Floating Villages
Pick up from the hotel at 8 am and drive straight to Phnom Kulen, known for its waterfall and 1000 Linga carvings. A playground for locals, Phnom Kulen features waterfalls at the top of Kulen Mountain and is a great picnic spot. In the afternoon, have lunch at a local restaurant nearby.
After lunch, visit the great Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia, offering a fascinating insight into true Cambodian life. You will be invited to ride on a private boat to the floating village of Kampong Khleang, a traditional Khmer floating village located 30 km from Siem Reap. At the end of the day, you will be dropped back at your hotel in Siem Reap.
