Explore the temples surrounding Siem Reap over two days on this privately guided tour of Angkor Wat and Tonle Sap Lake. Visit the floating village of Kompong Phluk, where local fishermen live in stilt houses above Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake.

Itinerary

Day 1: Discover Angkor Temples

Begin with an early pickup and travel to the main entrance of Angkor Wat. Admire the stunning temple within this ancient and mysterious complex. Next, visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom to marvel at the Bayon and Baphuon temples.

Hear historical facts about the place from your expert guide. Enjoy lunch before visiting the Terrace of the Elephant and the Terrace of the Leper King. Visit the beautiful Ta Prohm Temple and the  Banteay Kdei temple on your way back.

Day 2: Explre the Floating Villages of Kampong Phluk

Today, we travel to Kampong Phluk floating villages and visit Tonle Sap Lake, the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Next, we head to the floating village to discover the tall, stilted houses, floating hospital, fishery, and the natural landscape of the Mangrove Forest.

Enjoy an optional tour through the flooded mangrove forest and experience the local fauna and flora. Finally, admire the breathtaking sunset over the lake at the day's end.

Please note:
All guests need to wear appropriate clothing around the temples. You will need to have your shoulders and knees covered. Cambodia is also a very hot and humid country, so please wear some light cotton clothing. The winter months (Nov – Feb) are a bit cooler, but it can still get very hot in the afternoons.
